This is a very interesting article by Anshul Nanda. Her research showed that we can all be trained to be more self-aware. The author suggests that there are three levels of self-awareness: 1) the level where we can recognize and acknowledge our emotions; 2) the level where we can recognize and acknowledge our thoughts; and 3) the level where we can recognize and acknowledge our behaviors.
The main takeaway here is that you can’t get more of your life’s work done when you’re constantly in the middle of all that time-laying and working on something. If you’re in control of your life, it’s not the end of the road. It’s the beginning of the end of the road.
These are the four levels of self-awareness 1 where we can recognize, acknowledge, and recognize our emotions 2 the level where we can recognize and acknowledge our thoughts and 3 the level where we can recognize and acknowledge our behaviors.
The good news is that you can get more work done if you’re constantly aware of when you start to start feeling anxious, depressed, angry, bored, stressed, or whatever. You can also be aware of when you start acting like a jerk, or start to act in ways that harm other people, or start to act out in ways that harm yourself. The bad news is that you can end up spending days, weeks, or even months feeling like a complete and total asshole in yourself.
