You can do what I do and use google sheets to learn how to lock rows in a spreadsheet.
Google sheets is a fantastic tool for learning how to lock rows, or in my case, how to take and rework an existing row into a new one. You can use it for any number of things, from learning how to cook a recipe to finding ways to secure your database. In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how to take a single cell and modify it, to lock it so the second cell will be empty.

First of all, in Google Sheets you have one row (the one you’re working in) and one column (the one you’re trying to modify) so you can do pretty much whatever you want. It’s actually pretty easy to do.
The second thing to keep in mind is that you should always try to change rows to columns. I have seen this done to rows that were already locked, not knowing what the result would be. So I always change the column to the right.

The key to any spreadsheet is always to change rows to columns. Also, always keep in mind that if you do, it will eventually mess up the column you changed it from. It may have to start over, so take care.

Google sheets is not as useful as you think it is. I used to be able to move tables and formulas down to rows, but that was only possible because the tool was able to keep the numbers consistent. Now you can only move tables and formulas up and down and still get the same result. You have to decide what you want to do with the data, but its not easy to do.
If you’re using Google sheets, you can only move tables, formulas, and cells up and down. You can’t move columns or rows. And you can’t edit tables or formulas on sheets. In other words, you can’t have rows that are larger than the cells. So if you’re trying to add an extra row or column, you can’t do it.
