I see a ton of blogs and how to articles and videos about how to remove background in google docs. Yet I am still not sure how to remove the background. I have used the background removal tool in google docs before, but have not been able to get it to work. Any help would be appreciated.
The background removal tool is an extension for Google Docs. It is available for download in the Google Docs Settings, or you can run it manually or from a script in Google Docs.
Google Docs has a setting for the “background” background. Under the background section you can change the type of color to use. There is also a setting under document settings that allows you to remove the background. The background removal tool seems to work well for me, but I’m not sure how to use it.

Unfortunately, there’s currently no way to remove the gray background on Google Docs. Google has said it would do something about this so we will have to wait a bit more before Google Docs is updated.
For those that prefer a simple interface for hiding things, there is a Google Docs doc viewer as seen in Figure 3-1.
The idea behind this viewer is to hide the background completely (see Figure 3-1), and then show the background. The downside is that you can’t use the background view as an easy way to toggle the background on and off. The trick is to click on the “Show/Hide Background” link on the “Document” tab of the View tab (see Figure 3-2).
Google Docs does have a background view, but it only shows the background of the document. The background can be hidden by clicking on the show/hide background link on the Document tab of the View tab, see Figure 3-2.
