I am going to be attending masstamilan 2012 in Helsinki, Finland, on September 15th, 2012. I’m going to be in attendance and hope to make it to some of the talks that I’ve already missed. I’d like to say that I was there to learn, but I am also happy to say that I’ve gotten a lot of good information from the talks I’ve attended.
I have to admit that masstamilan is probably the best conference I have ever attended, but it would also be great to see the next one, and hope that it is also better.
Masstamilan is a Finnish conference for electronic music and other forms of electronic music that are not primarily electronic. The festival takes place in the capital city of Helsinki and in the city center, as well as in some of the surrounding smaller cities from Helsinki. The festival is held every autumn to coincide with the festival of electronic music in Japan.
The conference is a gathering of electronic music enthusiasts from around the world who come to Helsinki to do what they do best – meet new people. It is organized by Juhani Kontio, the founder of the festival and a very successful local DJ. This year’s conference had over 30 bands, DJs, and artists from Finland, from all over the world.
The festival is a very well-organized festival with a lot of events – you can find all the details in the festival’s homepage.
The festival is in the process of becoming a national music festival and the website for that is available on the festival’s homepage.
Masstamilan is the annual electronic music festival of Finland. The name comes from the Finnish word for a time before the winter. It’s a very important festival for Finnish electronic music, and it’s held every year in April. This year’s event will be held in Helsinki in April. Masstamilan has also been part of the festival circuit for a while now.
Last year, Masstamilan featured Tiesto, the Finnish Grammy Award winning artist, with many of the artists being on the bill last year.
If you’re at Masstamilan, you’re almost certainly going to be listening to some of the best electronic music the festival has to offer. Last year, I got to catch a handful of Tiesto’s sets (all of which were great). Also last year, I watched the festival’s new headliner on stage, Masque (a.k.a. Mikko, aka Mikko “Masque”), perform on the same stage as Tiesto.
I have to admit, I was pretty surprised when I heard the news that Mikko Masque was opening up for Tiesto last year. The fact that Masque is an up and coming producer and artist is pretty amazing. I think it has to do with the fact that Tiesto is a producer as well as a musician. I think that the fact that Masque is opening for Tiesto is because Tiesto is an artist as well as a producer.
