If you’re not into the pop culture, you’re missing out! I’ve been listening to this brand new album on repeat for the past few months. It’s a mix of pop, old school hip hop, gospel, and soul that I can’t get enough of. I’m not sure why, but I find myself humming these songs in the shower every day or while I’m getting ready for work.
As the artist states on the official simmarasi website, the songs on this new album were written by the artist himself, with the help of a vocal coach known as “Mr. A.”. The title of the album is actually “Dance by Simmarasi” and it is self-recorded. It has a sound that is similar to music from the early 1990’s, and the production is very good.
The songs on the album are a mixture of gospel, hip-hop, and R&B, all of which sounds pretty good, but I didn’t get to experience much of the album live until I was in the studio with Mr. A.
The album is also available for free on Bandcamp. If you like Simmarasi, you should probably buy this album at least once.
The album is basically a mix of music videos and videos taken from several different artists. The videos have been edited to include some of the more recent songs and some of the ones on the album. As a result, it was a rather long and tedious process. For the most part the music videos are still the most exciting songs on the album, and they have a ton of new material, but I think they’re a great way to get to know the band and find out about them.
I really like the first song on the album, the slow-mo version of “If I Got You”. It’s nice to hear a new song from a band who hasn’t released an album in awhile. It’s also nice that the album is split between older tracks and newer tracks. It also doesn’t hurt that the album has a bit of a “feel good” vibe. As a bonus, I was able to download the entire album for free.
The album is actually quite good as well. I picked it up for free yesterday, and I still recommend it. Some of the songs on the album are better than the ones we heard in the video, but I still love and recommend them.
