It’s been a long time since we’ve had some good music. So, I thought I’d start this series of posts with a sampling of some of the songs we have on our playlist.
There are a lot of simmarasi songs, but some of the best ones are from the band. I was introduced to the simmarasi in high school, and since then have played them many times (and some of their music, too). I can’t say that I know all their music, but there are a few songs I really like and that I’m really into them.
This is one of those bands that have a lot of songs that I dont really know, but Im always humming along to them. Their songs are catchy, energetic, and just overall fun.
The simmarasi are a rock/blues-based band that has been around since the early 1990s. They have two main members, guitarist and singer/keyboardist. There are a few other members that play instruments, and the core band is lead by guitarist/vocalist/keyboardist, Nicky “Simmarasi’s Nicky” Koehler.
They have two albums out in the first couple of years of their career, “The Way It Was” and “Bastards”. They are one of the few bands whose music I enjoy listening to in the car, and I’ve been listening to the entire catalog since I started working at Google years ago. I’ve been playing them for probably a decade, and I’ve really enjoyed them.
Nicky is a musician, but its not a band. It’s a whole different thing. They perform live, but they write and perform entire songs on keyboards. They are not a band. They are a whole different animal.
A band is a group of musicians who write and perform a song together. A band usually performs only one song at a time and then plays a full set after the completion of the song. A band may be a cover band, but its not really something I would call a band. I have actually been in bands where I covered songs but they were not a band.
I love simmarasis songs. I love their music. I love playing their songs. I love watching them perform. However, I think they are not a band. They are not a band that plays only one song at a time and then has a full set afterwards. They are a band that has a repertoire of songs that they play, and the repertoire they has is one of the most complete musical repertoires out there.
simmarasis’ music is what makes them stand out from the crowd in that they have so many songs and they cover them all. If you listen to each individual song, you can hear how they change their music depending on the song they are playing. Like the different instruments in a band, simmarasis’ music changes with the style of the song.
simmarasis songs are a great way to get pumped up for a party or just to get people excited to listen to songs. It’s a great way to not only get people talking but to get them talking about you.
